Pastor Russ Shearer is the Director of Coaching and Training. Pastor Russ is no stranger to the area of church planting and has served faithfully and well the church he began some nine years ago: Lakeside Community Church in Algoma, WI. Pastor Russ is an experienced church planter and has unique gifts in the area of leadership and strategic thinking. He has been involved in coaching church planters for years and loves seeing unchurched people reached for Christ. He is a graduate of Central College (Pella IA) in Communications and is currently finishing up his masters degree from Bethel Seminary in the Transformational Leadership program. He and his wife Tina have three young children and together have a passion to see new churches and church planting couples better equipped for the rigors of church planting.  Call him with your interest in coaching resources and he’ll be happy to serve you.

Pastor Roger Inouye serves as a consultant and first responder for any special needs within the 19 churches in the two GLBC areas.  He has a Doctor of Ministries Degree in Preaching and has served as a parish pastor for 35 years.  Pastor Roger recently served at Grace Baptist in Grantsburg Wisconsin for 14 and ½ years.  He has been on a variety of GLBC boards and committees and also served on a number of community and state level organizations such as “Rotary International” and “Walk To Emmaus”.  He and Lynn have been happily married for 37 years and have three sons, two daughters in law, and three grand children.  Roger loves to do short term mission trips to Asia and enjoys taking people with him so they can learn about and develop a love for missions.  He also loves to hunt and fish in the “Great Outdoors”!  Contact him anytime at rlinouye@grantsburgtelcom.net  

Along with founding and pastoring Woodridge Community Church, New Berlin, WI, Dr. Dave Mobley has been a successful church planting coach. Pastor Dave is known for his mostly authentic warmth and for skipping more meetings than anyone before him. Besides pastoring and serving as the Director of Urban/Ethnic Ministries, Dave has recently been chosen to be the Area Minister for the Southern Area. Dave has experienced many conflicts over the years and resolved a few...with help! His biggest claim to fame is that his wife Brenda still likes to listen to his sermons on Sunday. Dr. Cynthia Perry, our beloved and compassionate “First Lady”, serves our district as the Director of Women’s Ministries.

• As a ministry-wife and mother of four, Cynthia has committed her life to empowering teachers and home schooling parents. Cynthia has also directed women’s ministries at three churches over the past twenty-five+ years of full-time ministry and has written extensively in the area of prayer, women’s ministry and special education.

You'll find Dawn Frank to be a friendly voice on the phone as she serves the management team with event planning and other logistical assistance. Dawn grew up in a GLBC’s Calvary Baptist in Rhinelander.  From there, she attended a BGC’s Bethel University. Dawn and her family recently moved back to Wisconsin from Tennessee. Dawn is married to John and they have two girls, Taylor and Nicole.  Call anytime!  Dawn will be happy to serve you.

Lisa Taylor, our Financial Services Administrator, is happy to provide these services for the Great Lakes Baptist Conference:

• Managing the payroll service
• Performing general accounting tasks for the GLBC
• Administering the general accounting for the Loan & Investment Fund
• Managing certificate accounts for investors
• Preparing loan documentation, maintaining loan files, and posting loan payments

In addition to the district work, Lisa serves nationally as an information administrator for BGC’s TeAMerica’s online tracking system: www.tatracking.org. Church planters, LEAD teams and coaches will benefit from the many resources available there, including a reporting system, directories, free resources, ministry ideas, and numerous service connections. The maintenance of this TeAMerica Tracking website is part of the other role she has as Tom Nebel’s Administrative Assistant for Worldwide Church Multiplication and Leadership Development. In this position, Lisa coordinates retreats and meetings for church planters, assists in the development of the One Mission Leader Training initiative, and provides daily administrative support to Tom and his staff.
