The mission of the Great Lakes Baptist Conference is "A district that comes alongside each of her member churches in helping them accomplish Christ's mission in the communities that God has called them to reach."

Each church has a unique call and ministry from God. This simply means that the role of the district is to help each church determine what is its sense of mission and call and to be involved in resourcing that church in whatever way necessary to reach their community for Christ.

One of the ways the GLBC does this is by holding church consultations with the church leadership assessing such areas as: reasons for decline, developing vision, community demographics and how to develop effective programs and strategies to reach their community for Christ.

These consultations may only be for a few hours or could last for several months as district personnel work with the church to analyze what are the opportunities and challenges they are facing and how they can accomplish the mission that God has called them to achieve.

If you would like to learn more specifically how church consultation could empower your church leadership, please contact Dr. Dwight Perry at dwightperry@msn.com.
