The mission of the GLBC Women's Ministries:
To equip the women of the Great Lakes Baptist Conference to become fully developed persons through an intimate, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. To help women identify, develop, and use their spiritual gifts, to extend the love of Christ to women outside the family of God, and live out biblical principles in the context of their home, church, job and community.

The following alphabetical roster is composed of the names and brief biographical information of women who are gifted, trained, experienced, ready and available to bring words of encouragement and challenge to the women of your church. You are invited to read their bios and request that they participate in your events. Patty Cimino
Good News Baptist Church

Patty is a native of Mosinee, Wisconsin. She serves as Chair of the Worship Commission and sings as a member of the Worship Team at Good News Church. Patty’s speaking expertise includes addressing issues related to mid-life challenges as well as emotional and spiritual wounds. Her unique way of addressing various types of wounds has helped people find physical, emotional and spiritual healing. Patty’s ministry combines her original art work and engaging speaking style to challenge, uplift and encourage discouraged women.

Julie is a wife, a mother of two teenage boys and the guardian of her father-in-law, who has Alzheimer's Disease. She is the Director of Women’s Ministry at Faith Fellowship in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Along with providing training for the women’s ministry team, she also teaches Women’s Bible Studies and Children’s Church. She works with the Kamp Kidz (after school program) and in the nursery on Sunday mornings. She has counseled youth and taught women at Rural Bible Crusade Camp each summer for the past 10 years.

Angie dedicated her life to the Lord when she was eight years old. She has been serving him over the years by teaching Sunday School, Children’s Church, running nursery programs, hosting teen events, helping in different capacities with Bible School, sharing devotionals with women at churches, speaking at different women’s events and heading up the Women’s Ministry at Oakhill Christian Church. She also works as an Independent Contractor fulfilling many different roles as required such as: personal assistant, researcher, technical writer, and secretary (just to name a few). She enjoys scrapbooking and card-making, reading, watching movies, spending time with her family, visiting with people in the church, and swimming. It is her desire to serve the Lord, for His glory, in whatever way He desires.

Deb is a motivational speaker and recently retired educational consultant. She loves to talk and figures she uses her mouth so much; she might as well get paid for it! Some primary interests of Deb are to challenge and encourage good relationships, personal holiness and the knack of finding God at work in all of life. She mixes humor with ‘go for the jugular’ truth.

Sam is a Bible teacher, speaker and workshop leader who lives in Michigan with her husband. The author of a book entitled “Secrets of the Soul” (an autobiography of her experience as a abused child), Sam’s passion is to teach others how overcome the strongholds of their past by gaining understanding of their inheritance and position in Christ. Other topics of expertise that Sam speaks on include building trust in relationships, reaching goals you only dream about, and becoming the person God created you to be.

Lorrie has been helping people discover the truth in God's word for thirty years. She is a lifelong follower of Christ and teaches in a Christian school. Using God-given experiences and wisdom, she teaches and speaks on Bible Study, Prayer, marriage and family, helping women grow as God’s daughters. Lorrie wants to “...proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that [she] may present everyone complete in Christ. For this purpose [she] labors, striving according to His power” (Colossians 1:28-29).

Tina has a passion to see people discover their identity in Christ and fulfill His unique purpose for them. As a church planter’s wife and mother of three young children, she has had the privilege of discovering the goodness of God in the trenches of life. She has allowed God to shape her through the joys and challenges of church planting, motherhood, marriage and life in general. Tina is familiar with struggles and has found joy and intimacy with God in the midst of them. It is her desire to see women flourish in the life God has called them to live.

Barbara is a woman of many interests. She is a Personal Coach and Career Counselor. She believes that her many careers has helped her understand and empathize with people from all walks of life. Her workshops on career change, personality, marriage, and conflict management have been especially popular. Barbara has been involved in her local church as a Sunday School teacher, Pioneer Girls Leader, Church Dramatist, and Women’s Ministry Leader.
Sharon J. Steffen

Sharon has spent a lifetime seeking a closer relationship with God. Her experiences in that relationship are as unique as her fingerprint. Sharon assisted in the implementation of the “Side by Side” Women’s Mentoring Ministry at Community Church, Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She has taught four sessions for mentors twice each year since 2001 and in 2004; she became the director of that ministry and has presented training workshops to other groups and churches that expressed interest in starting mentoring ministries. Sharon has participated and completed several training seminars and Bible studies that have equipped her for a variety of ministries. Sharon relies on God’s truth and speaks that truth no matter what the topic. |
